The house

A room built for listening first, cutting second.

Every appointment at Maison Calloway starts in the chair with the scissors still in the drawer. We ask how you wear your hair on an ordinary Tuesday, how long you spend on it in the morning, and what it did last time that you didn’t like. Then we cut for that.

Colour is mixed at the back bar for your hair alone and written on your card, so the next visit starts where this one ended. Finishing is taught, not hidden: we show you the brush, the direction and the heat, so the shape holds when you do it yourself at home.

Your visit

What happens, in order.

  1. I

    The conversation

    Ten minutes, dry hair, a mirror. Bring pictures if you have them. You hear the plan and the price before anyone reaches for a comb.

  2. II

    The wash

    A reclining basin, warm water, a scalp massage while the conditioner sits. Tell us if you’d rather skip the chat.

  3. III

    The work

    Cut, colour, or both. Colour processing time is quiet time: tea, a magazine, or nothing at all.

  4. IV

    The finish

    We style it and show you how. Your colour formula and cut notes go on your card for next time.

Colour is judged by the window, not the ceiling lights. Chairs face the glass on Ashgrove Lane, and each station has its own basin behind a screen.
